Chainpace is the data controller for the personal data we collect and process through our platform.
1.1 If You're a Prospect
If you've been introduced to a vendor through Chainpace, here's what you need to know:
- A Member (an industry professional in your network) identified that you might benefit from a business introduction to a relevant vendor
- They shared your contact details and business requirements with us to facilitate the introduction
- Your details were shared based on your existing professional relationship with the Member, who has a legitimate interest in making relevant business introductions
- We share your information only with the specific vendor(s) relevant to your business needs
- You have full rights over your data - see Section 9 for details on how to access, correct, or delete your information

2. Information We Collect
We collect and process personal data from three main groups:
2.1 From Vendors
When B2B SaaS companies register as Vendors on our platform, we collect:
- Company name and registration details
- Contact person's name, email address, and phone number
- Job title and role
- Company information including products/services, Ideal Customer Profile, and target market
- Meeting and introduction outcomes
- Contract details when deals are secured
- Payment information
2.2 From Members
When industry professionals register as Members on our platform, we collect:
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Professional background, expertise, and industry experience
- Employment status and company affiliation (where relevant)
- Details of business opportunities and prospects in their network
- Introduction outcomes and meeting results
- Payment details for receiving fees and commissions
2.3 From Prospects (Potential Clients)
When Members register business opportunities, we receive information about potential clients, including:
- Name and job title
- Company name and details
- Email address and phone number
- Business requirements and technology needs
- Meeting outcomes
2.4 Information We Collect Automatically
When you use our website and platform, we automatically collect:
- Device and browser information
- IP address and location data
- Pages visited and time spent on our platform
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see our Cookie Policy)
3. Lawful Basis for Processing
We process your personal data based on the following lawful bases under the UK GDPR:
Contract Performance: Processing is necessary to perform our contract with Vendors and Members.
Legitimate Interests: We process prospect data based on the legitimate interests of facilitating business introductions. Members have established professional relationships with prospects who would reasonably expect such introductions.
Legal Obligation: Processing is necessary to comply with legal requirements (e.g., tax, accounting).
Consent: Where required, we obtain your explicit consent before processing (e.g., marketing communications).
4. How We Use Your Information
We use personal data to:
- Operate our introduction platform and facilitate connections between Vendors and prospects
- Match business opportunities with relevant Vendors based on their Ideal Customer Profile
- Communicate about introductions, meetings, and opportunities
- Process payments and manage fees and commissions
- Track introduction outcomes and measure success rates
- Improve our services and platform functionality
- Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
- Send service updates and important notices about our platform
5. Information Sharing
We share information only as necessary to operate our platform:
5.1 With Members
We share Vendor information (company details, Ideal Customer Profile, opportunity criteria) with relevant Members to enable them to identify suitable prospects.
5.2 With Vendors
We share prospect information (name, company, contact details, business requirements) with Vendors when a Member facilitates an introduction.
5.3 With Service Providers
We may share data with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate our platform, including:
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
- Payment processing services
- Email and communication platforms
- Analytics and monitoring services
These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.
5.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information when required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
5.5 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you of any such change.

- Vendor and Member data: Retained for the duration of your account and for three (3) years after termination to manage ongoing commission obligations and legal requirements.
- Prospect data: Retained for twelve (12) months from the date of introduction if no meeting occurs or no business relationship results. Retained for three (3) years if a commercial relationship is established (to track commission eligibility).
- Financial records: Retained for seven (7) years to comply with UK tax and accounting requirements.
- Technical and usage data: Typically retained for 24 months unless longer retention is necessary for security or legal purposes.
9. Your Rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the following rights:
Right of access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances.
Right to restriction: Request that we limit our processing of your data.
